1. Drink a glass of water.
It is simple but can make the world of difference. Remaining hydrated can boost your energy, improve immunity, and is a natural headache remedy. When your body is feeling better you are more likely to be in a better mood.
2. Lay out in the sun.
It can increase your vitamin D levels, which will improve the health of your bones. I love the feel of the sun on my face, it puts me in a better mood.
3. Invite a friend over to watch a movie.
Have some enjoyable company over for a simple activity. You may want to go out, but a movie in can be just as fun with the right people.
4. Hug yourself.
Physical touch is necessary for all of us to feel loved. We don’t always have people around to pat us on the back or give us hug when we need one. Don’t be afraid give yourself some extra love.
5. Clean your space.
I have found that my mind can feel even more stressed and cluttered when my work space, or home is messy. When I tidy up, I feel that it is a lot easier to clean out my brain.
6. Go for a walk.

7. Dress in clothes that make you feel confident, even if you aren’t leaving the house.
Sometimes getting ready is the right confidence boost, and mood changer that you need to feel a little more put together. You don’t actually have to be going out to look nice.
8. Do something that scares you.
When you are afraid to do something that is a sign that it is out of your comfort zone and a chance for you to actually grow. Take the leap. Learn. Grow.
Simple stretches can help you release some tension but also warm up your body. After sitting for hours a stretch can help you relax and loosen up.
10. Have a heart to heart with your S.O.
We sometimes allow small things to build in relationships. We hope that because they are small they dont affect the relationship, but a bunch of small things can add up. Have a talk about the frustrations you are experiencing and give your partner the opportunity to do the same.
11. Watch something that is sure to make your laugh.
Laughter. We all can use more of it. It can help release tension and brighten our outlook.
12. Set one positive goal for the today. Do it.
Set one goal for the day. Figure out how and when you will accomplish the goal. Then go do it.
A fake smile for long enough will turn into a real one. If you can, go look into the mirror and smile at yourself.
14. Get a hug.
If you are around people that you feel comfortable with, ask for a hug. Hold on and make it last for a bit. Enjoy the positive human contact.
15. Take a hot shower.
Hot showers have their benefits. You can release stress, relieve a stiff neck and shoulders, help relieve a cough, and improve you circulation.
16. Do simple yoga poses while at your desk chair.
Some simple stretches can help bring focus back to your work and relieve and tension. You don’t have to leave your desk area to get some relief.
17. Take a nap.
A 20 minute nap can help give you more energy to charge through the rest of the day. It is important to practice this skill and set an alarm.

19. Write out one mistake, or wrong thing you did. Then forgive yourself.
Forgiveness can bring peace and acceptance. It is not something that has to be earned from others. You can forgive yourself and move on.
20. Talk with a friend.
Talking with a friend can be as good as therapy at times. Have a positive uplifting conversation with a friend.
21. Listen to happy, uplifting music.
In order to have a change in your thought pattern, it can be necessary to inject what you want to feel in your head. Listen to music that will envigorate you and lift your spirits.
22. Figure out who you want to be.

23. Write out why you are stressed, anxious or overwhelmed.
Journaling out your emotions can help you the same as talking it out. Also, brainstorming ways to fix the problems can provide a sense of peace.
24. Make a list of daily affirmations.
Write down who you want to show up and be every day. Believe that you can accomplish and be it.
Tears heal wounds of the past. Never feel ashamed of your tears, they will help you heal and move on. So, cry and release the pain, grief, and sorrow.

26. Have a hot drink.
A nice hot drink can make me feel all warm and cozy outside. It is a happy motivator.
27. Spend time with yourself and enjoy it.
In an age of technology, spend time with yourself with out it. Enjoy your own company, because if you can’t no one else will be able to either.
28. Decide you will not speak poorly, mean, or negative to yourself for the rest of the day.
If you slip up, don’t beat yourself up. But try again. Lesson the amount of wounds you inflict on yourself verbally. We are the ones who make a situation much worse than it is with our negative self-talk.
29. Do some simple breathing exercises.
In stressful and anxious situations our first physical reaction is to take short shallow breathes. We need more than that to keep functioning and think clearly.

31. Take a cold shower.
Cold shower can help with bouts of depression, strengthen immunity, and increase energy and well-being. If you can muster to stand in it, do it.
32. Forgive someone for their wrongs against you.
We carry enough baggage around from our existence. Don’t add others wrongs to that weight. Relieve some of the load.
33. Write a letter to your future self.
Sometimes it is inspiring to vision who you want yourself to be. Write it out, and start taking steps to get there. The first step is visualizing it and articulating it in the letter.
Sometimes calling on a higher power is what you need to remember your place in the world. You are not in control of everything and that is okay.
35. Journal your out your emotions.
Joy, apathy, sadness. What ever you are feeling write it out. It will help get out the negative emotions and also provide a little to recall on when you are feeling grateful.
36. Commit to not complaining any more today.
Complaining can be a huge buzz kill for motivation and energy, not only for the people around you but for yourself as well. With every issue or problem try to find a way to make it better.
37. Take 5 minutes to be frustrated, angry and feel your emotions.
Live and experience your emotions. It is healthy to experience them, don’t stay in them too long though. Keep a time limit on how long you will be experiencing them so you can pull yourself out.
38. Make goals for the end of the year. Make a plan for them.
Feeling that you are advancing and growing is necessary in every life. Making goals helps you track your progress and see improvement.
39. Do your nails.
It is simple and easy to bring some color and joy.
40. Get 8 hours of sleep.
Sleep. We all need it. How many of us actually get enough of it? Plan to get 8 hours tonight.
41. Read a book.
Reading is my go to when I don’t know what to do. There are free books at the library and on kindle.
42. Cancel plans.
It is okay to bail on plans. You need to be able to bring 100% of you when you are with others. Rejuvenating with some alone time or time at home is important.
43. Write 15 things you are grateful for.

44. Make plans. Have something to look forward to.
Making plans will help you foster joy as you look forward to something fun to do.
45. Listen to an uplifting podcast.

46. Do a quick at home workout.
A quick workout can help you increase your self-discipine in remaining committed to your body. You will also get to experience the benefits of some endorphins.
47. Eat a healthy snack or meal.
Hunger can make us cranky, loose focus and motivation. Eat a healthy snack to put good clean fuel back into your body.

Your financial well-being is important. Having a budget for each month will help you keep your finances in order.
49. Write a letter to yourself stating everything you deserve.
When life becomes challenging it is often hard to see where in your life you deserve better. When you write it out you may have some empiphany of people or acts that don’t belong in your life anymore.

We can get lost in trying to better and always critiquing ourselves. Take sometime too actually look at everything amamzing about yourself.
