Challenges are a great way to focus on a goal or skill. I love athletic challenges and creative challenges. There is focus and dedication to get the results you want to finish and succeed at the challenge.
Here are 6 creative challenges for the month of October in 2018.
For 31 days you do a ink drawing every day. There are prompts to help assist you with ideas for the daily drawing but aren't required if you have inspiration. If you think this isn’t for you, think again. Do you like doing digital art work or calligraphy, then this is for you. Improve your penmen-ship with the Inktober Challenge.
For the poetry writers, this one is for you. When is the last time that you wrote a poem every day?Or for 31 days? This is a great opportunity to connect with other who are grinding away on their poetry too. You can “link up” and let your poetry be seen by others. Or you can participate by yourself, keeping your work for yourself. There are daily prompts to help inspire you, along with tips to help you write your poetry.
31 Days of Writing is for the bloggers. Link up with others bloggers to share your posts that you write, every day of October. This is a great way to start writing more consistently on your blog, but also to meet other bloggers in the process. You can write about anything that you have interest in. It is a challenge to publish posts every day, but this is a great way to do it with a community. You will find me on there if you decide to link up. Sign up from October 1-5th.
For those of you that haven’t heard of NaNoWriMo before it is the National Novel Writing Month, which occurs in November. People write a 50,000 word novel in November, and this challenge takes place around the world. There is a lot of gear for it and support. Many people use the month of October to get there books planned out a bit before they start writing in November. There are a lot of tips on the NaNoWriMo site to help you plan your novel for November.
This challenge is exactly what it sounds like. Drawing Halloween themed drawings for the month of October. Any and all types of art work are encouraged and invited. The host show cases people’s work on Facebook and Instagram.
Lastly, there is the 24 Hours of Comic drawing. Create a 24 page comic book story that would usually take months to create. People usually gather at event sites like comic book stores to do this challenge. But, it can be done anywhere.
